Duties and Responsibilities

• Consistently develop new sources of vehicles.
• Develops a route and provides management with contact information about the route and schedule of visitations.
• Purchase vehicles specific to the lot needs from wholesalers, auctions, and the general public.
• Drive, inspect, and fill out an incoming unit checklist before agreeing to purchase a vehicle.
• Scan each vehicle with a Diagnostics Scanner before purchasing the vehicle.
• Keep accurate records on vehicles purchased, checks received from lots for vehicles purchased, and titles received on vehicles purchased and forwarded to the receiving Car-Mart.
• Ask each wholesaler to change the oil & filter, make extra keys, and have a ¼ tank of gas in each vehicle we purchase from them.
• Ensure Purchase Agreements are purchased into A3 timely.
• Check e-mail and send all information requested by the Corporate Office on a daily basis.
• Work on the lot driving high inventory and assisting the General Manager with evaluating repossessions, trades, and assigning Fair Market Value (FMV).
• Adhere to the purchasing and repair guidelines and policies as set forth by the Corporate Office.
• Ensure purchasing actions and decisions do not provide personal gain for yourself or family members as per the conflict of interest policy.
• Determines need for repairs by road test, by use of mechanical testing devices, by questioning Customer about vehicle's performance, or by visual inspection of vehicle.
• Estimates cost of repair and must be under repair budget to be considered successful.
• Fully maintaining the detailed repair log with costs of parts and labor for repaired vehicles.
• Reviews work tickets and turns in invoices to Office Manager to ensure payment in a timely manner.
• Purchasing parts online or from local vendors only when they are completive with online pricing or there is no other options.
• Must negotiate all parts purchased, to the best of your ability, ensuring we are paying the lowest amount possible to be considered successful.
• Communicates repair issues with Manager and customers.
• Must maintain all customer notes in ALIS consistently, including notating daily update calls while their vehicle is in repair shop, or any other information that would be considered to be relative in concerns to customer success.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your General Manager.
• Follow company policies and procedures and support company mission, vision, values and standards of ethics.
• Daily attendance required to ensure all duties are completed in a timely fashion.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
