Account Services Specialist
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about providing exceptional service? We are looking for an Account Services Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position requires high accuracy in ensuring prompt resolutions and will report directly to the Account Services Manager.
The Hours:
Monday - Friday: Flexible hours 9:00am - 5:30pm
The pay range:
$23.97 - $28.40 per hour

What You'll Do:

Process legal documents like garnishments, levies, subpoenas, estate affidavits, and powers of attorney

Manage specialty account types (Guardianship, Estate, Trust, Rep Payee), ensuring proper documentation and coordination

Oversee branch cash orders and clearing account discrepancies for accuracy and timeliness

Review and approve branch incentives and assist with policy updates

Maintain ACU’s IRA program, including transactions, recordkeeping, death claims, RMDs, tax reporting, and staff training

Handle IRS mismatch issues and W-9 updates; apply backup withholding if needed

Assist with member death payouts and process deceased IRA accounts

Manage dormant and escheated accounts per requirements

Review daily financial reports and process corrections/recasts as needed

Provide member support, ensure quality service standards, and encourage department collaboration

What You'll Bring:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience working at a financial institution
- IRA University Certified IRA Specialist I
- One year of working with IRAs including Traditional, Roth, HSAs, ESAs, and knowledge of tax reporting
- Preferred knowledge of Decease Payouts
- Proven attention to detail with the ability to keep records
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and record keeping skill
