The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Nursing. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic faculty committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences by engaging in a balanced workload of 40% teaching, 40% research, and 20% service. Teaching responsibilities include 15 credit hours annually across undergraduate and graduate programs, delivered in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings. Faculty are expected to develop and sustain a program of research, disseminate scholarly work through publications and presentations, and seek external funding. Service activities include participation in departmental, college, and university committees, as well as professional engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
Salary range: $82,000–$85,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. UCCS provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, and professional development support.

- PhD in Nursing or related field (required by hire date)
- MSN or PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Active RN license in Colorado or eligibility by hire date
- Minimum two years of professional clinical experience
- Evidence of research productivity
- Academic teaching experience
- Record of external funding or strong potential for grant success
