The Mount offers masters and post-masters certificate programs in Nurse Practitioner Family Health, Gerontology, and Psychiatric Mental Health, and Masters in Nursing Education degree. The Dean of the School of Nursing provides strategic leadership for all nursing programs and serves as the School’s primary advocate within the College and the broader healthcare community. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and vision for all nursing programs
- Ensure compliance with CCNE and NYS accreditation standards
- Oversee faculty hiring, mentoring, evaluation, and professional development
- Lead program assessment, outcomes, and NCLEX performance
- Manage budgets, reports, and community and clinical partnerships
- Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field; Master’s in Nursing required
- An unencumbered NYS nursing license required
- 3 years of nursing education experience with advanced degree programs preferred
- Demonstrated academic leadership experience (Chair, Associate/Assistant Dean, or Dean)
- Eligible for academic rank of Associate Professor or higher
