What are the responsibilities and job description for the Universal Banker position at American Bank?
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Have a good understanding of the bank products/services, offers information on bank products and services that can benefit the customer and enhance banking relationships.
2. Prepares and compiles new customer application and information to open new accounts.
3. Provides ongoing relationship servicing current customers to maintain goodwill and gain additional business.
4. Responds to customer inquiries and requests regarding account.
5. Promotes and cross sells other products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.
6. Generates new business to assist in meeting establishment profitability goals.
7. Performs all regular teller duties including accepting deposits, and cashing checks.
8. Prepares holds on deposits as necessary.
9. Completes forms such as CTRs, SIRs, and any other BSA reporting as necessary.
10. Performs operational duties as required, which may include: vault operations, ordering and shipping cash, research teller differences, and completing various reports.
11. Performs various customer service duties:
- Answering phone calls and assisting walk in customers
- Customer research
- Processing check orders
- Opening/Closing accounts
- Assist customer with Safe Deposit Boxes
12. Responsible for maintaining customer accounts including deposit accounts, CDs, HSAs, IRASs, and other retail banking products.
13. Takes consumer loan applications
14. Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience or equivalent training in retail activities, including sales and cash handling.
- Excellent skills and proficiency in word/excel/outlook with the ability to learn new software applications
- Must be a self- starter, dependable, accurate in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to accept and facilitate change
