Job Summary:
The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design, and procurement of equipment as well as defining the processes needed to produce both High and Low voltage products. This individual is expected to work closely with Prototype & Design teams to troubleshoot issues and provide Engineering support to ensure a smooth transition from concept to production.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the process development of new parts and equipment by working closely with the prototype manufacturing team to support new components and systems launches.
- Work closely with production manufacturing teams to troubleshoot any issues that arise with product components and assemblies.
- Specifies components (materials, structures, fuses, housings) and ensures products meet internal and customer requirements.
- Key contributor to mechanical system DFMEAs/PFMEAs.
- Evaluates supplier information, specifications, and validation data to ensure the selection ofproper suppliers.
- Key contributor to mechanical system DVP&Rs for integration into or support of overall ABS system DVP&Rs.
- Supports all prototype system builds ensuring parts are on time, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Expands professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars and conferences, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Contributes to team growth by completing projects in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Predictable and reliable attendance.
- Minimum Bachelor of Science and/or Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in automotive or similar product design and development.
- Knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001.
- Knowledge of Fixturing Design experience – Robotic, CNC, Weld.
- Knowledge about assembly controls such as sensors, vision, mechanical poke yokes.
- Knowledge of Robotic/automated assembly processes vs. manual (when to use what, where, and why).
- Knowledge about Pneumatic assemblies, valve banks, air controls.
- Proficient in CAD, SolidWorks preferred (strong ability to concept something in CAD and ability to convey ideas into something functional is critical).
- Experience in multi-content assembly processes, non-siloed, full understanding of any product manufacturing stream from start to finish.
- Adept in various troubleshooting methods.
- Adept in data processing and statistical analysis.
- Effective communicator, capable of concisely presenting highly technical test data to internal and external customers, as well as effectively communicating with suppliers.
- Experienced with the handling of high voltage lithium-ion battery systems.
- Educated on common automotive & industry standards.
- Familiar with the product design process.
