Computer Aided Designer Intern
American Extrusion International is a global company engaged in the design, development, manufacture, installation and service of Grain Extrusion Equipment and other up/downstream accessories for the Food Industry.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be:
- On the last semester of their Associate degree
- Able to draw prints to specifications
- Familiar with GD&T standards
- Proactive and self-motivated with interest and capacity to learn
- Be familiar with design standards or willing to learn
- Be responsible and dedicated to deliver quality work in a timely manner
- Be able to collaborate and communicate with all implied parties
- Be organized and able to create and maintain a documentation system
- Have technical writing capabilities
Responsibilities
- Create prints in 2-D and 3-D as instructed.
- Update archived prints when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with Shop Supervisor and Design Engineer regarding jobs.
- Produce quality work.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers when necessary.
- Create technical documentation, including but not limited to, operator and service manuals
Qualifications
The successful candidate must:
- Demonstrate ability to use Autodesk Inventor.
- Demonstrate basic math skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Have an Associates Degree or be in the last semester
Reports to Mechanical Engineer Manager
Job Type: Full Time Temporary, Non-Exempt
Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
