About the Role:
The Accreditation Specialist’s primary responsibility is managing the processes of the Laboratory Accreditation Programs. It requires the ability to act as a liaison for technical questions, interpreting technical data and results, and excellent customer service. This position will report to Senior Manager, Accreditation.

The pay for this position ranges from $48k to $50k based on experience and qualifications for the role. About the Role:
The Accreditation Specialist’s primary responsibility is managing the processes of the Laboratory Accreditation Programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain accurate electronic files on each participating laboratory, including ongoing data entry of accreditation records in data management software;
- Process and review applications for accreditation;
- Track information related to application review and site assessment;
- Distribute, assign, and manage site assessments;
- Perform quality review and pertinent updates of accreditation documents;
- Communicate with new and existing accredited laboratory participants regarding the accreditation process and performance status;
- Interact with various internal and external stakeholders, including AAB, TAP, Site Assessors;
- Provide exemplary outreach and assistance to new/existing customers
- Assist in compiling, transmitting, and tracking the monthly Analytical Accreditation Board (AAB) ballot;
- Liaison with the Meetings Department for planning and organization of annual volunteer orientation, training meetings, evaluations, and internal audits;
- Maintain and follow AIHA-LAP, LLC Quality Systems Procedures (QSPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for handling the administration of the accreditation programs;
- Perform duties in compliance with the relevant policy modules and ISO/IEC Standards and any appropriate external program requirements
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical or biological science
- Preferred:
- Experience working in a laboratory or office setting
- Project Management experience
- Experience with various office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database Management, etc.)
- An ability to interpret technical data, process results, and communicate result reports.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to multi-task
- Be a quick learner who isn’t afraid of technology
- Be able to work independently, manage groups of volunteers and co-workers, and establish/meet deadlines
