Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in their homes or community settings. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutrition management.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Document care provided accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including social workers, to develop individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience or training in dementia care is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting clients as needed.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
