We are seeking long-term growth and career-minded rock stars to join our team! American Trading International, Inc. (ATI) is a service-oriented export trading company providing domestic and international companies the opportunity to import and export products to new and existing markets. ATI exports USA food and beverages to over 80 markets worldwide. We are looking for a Procurement Manager to manage a growing team of supply planners who engage with multiple suppliers on a weekly & monthly schedule to ensure excellent alignment between ATI Sales & our Contract Manufacturers.
What you’ll do:
- Review & manage daily, weekly, and monthly build schedules for the production of goods made by ATI Suppliers.
- Review & manage the manufacturing needs working with Suppliers and Demand Planners. Provide a 12-month forecast, by SKU, for suppliers so they are aware of upcoming production needs. This forecast should include Open Orders as well as Planned Orders.
- Proactively monitor and leverage market and commodity insights in negotiations to create short-term and long-term ordering strategies.
- Build collaborative relationships with business partners to coordinate operational processes and to help resolve issues. Ensure great communication with suppliers so that issues that arise are summarized and brought back to the team. Understand item lead times, potential bottlenecks and other aspects of the suppliers MRP.
- Ensure issues such as delays in production, raw material shortages and other issues that impact customers / sales are escalated appropriately.
- Own the Master Data associated with our Suppliers. Ensure that the data for items include item dimensions, costs, specifications, and other aspects and is kept up to date.
- Generate performance reports that track and analyze key performance metrics on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
- Ensure accurate configuration of assemblies (BOMs) for all items.
- Review & manage issues related to suppliers & accounts payable. Work to resolve discrepancies and claims.
- Understand New Product Introductions as well as SKU Transitions. Analyze and communicate the impact of SKU transitions / delists / changes.
- Review & manage open orders in the OOR (Open Order Report).
- Own the Supply Chain Handbook and ensure it is consistently updated and communicated with our suppliers.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Positive and collaborative attitude
- 5 years of work experience as a Procurement Manager.
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or relevant field
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with SAP Software is preferred.
- Experience with Food Export is a plus
What you’ll be paid:
Commensurate with experience, you will be paid $85,000 - $100,000 annually.
