What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACE Teaching Fellows-invitation only position at AmeriCorps?
The ACE AmeriCorps member cohort has been selected for the 2025-26 service year. Members of the ACE AmeriCorps Program serve as full-time teachers of records in grades 2-12. As such, they are directly responsible for the education of their students. Specific responsibilities include daily lesson/unit planning, grading, instruction and implementation of core content material in the classroom. They are also invited to participate in the life of the school community beyond the traditional school day, and may take on additional roles such as coaching a sport, directing a musical group, or moderating a student club. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, members of the ACE AmeriCorps Program are also full-time graduate students at the University of Notre Dame. Responsibilities as graduate students are described in the Master of Education handbook, and are further clarified in periodic memoranda from the administrative or academic directors of ACE.
