American Sign Language Para-educator – Full Time | Shoreline, WA | 2025–2026 School Year
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time ASL Paraeducator for the 2025–2026 school year in Shoreline, Washington. This is an in-person position working with a great and supportive school district. Job Highlights:
- Location: Shoreline, WA
- Position: ASL Paraeducator – 1:1 position for transition age student
- Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday
- School Year: 2025-2026 (summer hours are also available)
- In-person only
- Student has developmental delays - positions is a 1:1 para with signing - comfortability with signing approximations is required
Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.0 or higher preferred but not required
- Fingerprinting required prior to start
- School-based experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 interpretation for a student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
- Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom
- Collaborate with the student’s educational team
- Work 1:1 with student throughout school day as an educational support
