GENERAL PURPOSE: Building Coordinator Construction
Under the supervision of the Building Operations Manager (BOM) performs all construction maintenance work including reading blueprints, setting project layout, electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, general construction, generating reports, maintaining projects, and related. The Building Coordinator will assist maintenance staff in repairs as directed by their supervisor.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Building Coordinator Construction
- Assists in the implementation and completion of short and long-term Tenant Improvement (TI) projects
- Performs remodeling projects (plumbing, electrical, framing, sheet rock, door installation, window installation, baseboards, cabinets, etc.)
- Maintains current and past project repairs and maintenance
- Performs quality control checks on projects to maintain expected standards
- Communicates project progress effectively to supervisor
- Assists in implementing project budgets and timelines
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Maintains vehicles with equipment and appropriate maintenance checks
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Building Coordinator Construction
- Must have five (5) years of prior experience in construction related fields
- Two-year college degree and/or advanced construction certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of either framing and drywall, plumbing and electrical, or HVAC is required
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel is recommended
- Ability to read blueprints and work unassisted on a project
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques is recommended
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Maintain project documentation and records
- Read and understand budgetary needs and requirements
- Ability to learn various skills associated with this position
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with Ampla Health staff
- Ability to read and understand SDS (safety data sheets) and chemical warning labels
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Building Coordinator Construction
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have clear writing ability
- Must be able to professionally interact with patients and staff
