The Imaging and Detection Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a diverse and skilled team in the planning and execution of all aspects of the day-to-day manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate uses lean manufacturing concepts and structured problem solving to enable the team to deliver best in class safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance. This individual will recommend, plan, and execute process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of manufacturing supervisors and staff, providing guidance and coaching.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality within the manufacturing team.
- Train employees on production procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Select and develop personnel to build a team that excels.
Production Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Identify and execute daily adjustments to the production plan to maximize labor efficiency.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance to drive process improvements and cost savings.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering in the planning and coordination of major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions to optimize operations.
- Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
Quality Control:
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards by implementing rigorous quality control measures and procedures.
- Monitor product quality at various stages of production, conduct inspections, and address any deviations or non-conformities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5 years of proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, demonstrating a successful track record in production management.
- Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
- Ability to analyze data, identify areas of improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- MES proficiency: FactoryLogix preferred.
Nice to Have:
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- SAP Proficiency.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. often, 50 lbs. occasionally and 75 lbs. seldom.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, or squat, kneel or sit - requiring full body mobility.

Salary : $115,000 - $145,000
