Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be involved in the development & implementation of multiple processes & projects for the company, various special/ad hoc projects for upper management, and engaged in process review & improvement efforts. The position offers insight and broad exposure into all aspects of the Company’s operations and intra-department collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other departments on implementing new processes for new business segments/acquisitions.
- Complete ad-hoc reports & special projects assigned by various levels of management, as necessary.
- Identify, develop, & implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency, when possible.
- Develop KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports for the company’s core business and other business segments. Identify new or improved ways to measure performance beyond KPI’s already in use.
- Create financial models with a focus on performance benchmarking and process analysis.
- Guide and assist staff accountants and provide direction for their involvement in the research and analysis of their assigned business segments & aid in the creation of supporting models as necessary.
- Analyze financial data relating to the company’s core business and various other business segments.
- Trend & analyze various transactions (revenue, cash, etc.) for segment-level reporting. In-depth review of these transactions to identify discrepancies & work to eliminate inconsistencies by reviewing against Company and Accounting Policies and working with multiple departments to develop process improvements & internal controls.
- Willing to assist in the day to day responsibilities, when needed.
- Visibility to Company Leadership
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required, MBA or CPA license preferred
- 5 years of experience in Accounting required
- Strong technical skills required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (Index(Match), nested If statements, Arrays, etc.) VBA, a plus
- Basic SQL understanding
- Aptitude for problem solving with strong analytical thinking ability
- Adapt to new processes & systems while learning & understanding topics with little supervision
- Independently engage stake holders and come up with solutions, when needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly committed, motivated, and team oriented personality
- Capable of interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization required
