ASI is seeking Engineering Interns to work in Jacksonville, Florida in the Engineering Division. Qualified candidates will learn and grow with our team of experienced professionals. Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing data analysis for assemblies/sub-assemblies utilizing failure and maintenance data and other data sources to assess, analyze, and predict failures and reliability
- Assist in the development of complex repairs and preparation of static strength/fatigue analysis of engineering repair dispositions for nonconforming aircraft structure
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, develop, implement, test, and evaluate projects within the engineering discipline
- Assist in the performance of analyses with hand calculations using OEM & DoD stress methods and industry standards
- Assist in the prototyping, validating, and troubleshooting of system installations and equipment
- Assist in the production of reports to demonstrate that the design satisfies all relevant design requirements
- Assist in the preparation and review of engineering and technical analyses, reports, and other technical documentation
- Perform other duties as tasked
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess a High School diploma, or equivalent, and demonstrate an interest in engineering
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willing to work approximately 20-30 hours per week
- Ability to use Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
