Description : Position Summary -

The law clerk advises and assists the attorneys at the firm through legal research and analysis and preparing legal documents such as memoranda and reports to guide and prepare the attorneys for their cases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

Legal Research and Analysis
Preparing Memoranda and Reports
Additional Research (Not Legal) Related to the Case
Administrative Tasks
Researching issues for attorneys
Drafting documents
Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) -

Bachelor’s degree and current enrollment in a JD program is required

Knowledge of basic legal writing and research required

Preferably a completed semester of legal research and writing

Preferably have experience completing a research memorandum

Legal research and writing, organization, and time management skills

Proficiency with legal research databases
