Purpose Statement:
Anser Charter School is seeking a flexible, reliable, and collaborative Floating Substitute Teacher to join our team. This full-time position provides daily coverage for classroom teachers and instructional support staff across grade levels (K–8). The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with children, adaptable to a variety of learning environments, and aligned with Anser’s mission to empower students to learn, explore, and create with purpose.
Essential Functions:
Provide high-quality instruction and classroom management in the absence of the regular teacher or instructional staff.
Follow lesson plans provided by classroom teachers or implement age-appropriate activities when plans are not available.
Support instruction in general education classrooms, specials (art, PE, etc.), and inclusion settings as needed.
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
Collaborate with grade-level teams and contribute to a positive school culture.
Serve as a proactive team member in school-wide routines such as arrival/dismissal, lunch, and recess duties.
Demonstrate flexibility to work with multiple grade levels and subject areas in a given week.

$16 per hour

Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Preferred: Experience working with children in a childcare or school setting
