Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Machinist is responsible for operating CNC equipment to create components per specifications and standard operating procedures.
Candidate Profile:
- Machines stainless steel, aluminum, and a variety of plastic parts as needed.
- Operates and completes set-ups on machining equipment, troubleshoots and adjusts the equipment as necessary.
- Fit parts to very close tolerances, fabricating materials as needed.
- Ensures proper finish according to blueprints, routing, and bill of materials.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, diagrams, work orders, specification manuals, and plans to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of production/quality standards, and assembly procedures/processes
- Vertical Mill CNC / Lathe CNC experience
- Strong knowledge of machining practices and how part tolerances affect machining requirements.
- Working knowledge of engineering principles.

Other considerations:
- High School Diploma and/ or G.E.D; additional education preferred.
- 7-10 years knowledge and experience as a machinist.
- Must be able to operate a drill press, manual mill, and manual lathe
- Operation of CNC mill & lathe (Prototrak experience preferred)
- 1-2 years machining components for automated equipment (Preferred)
- Ability to operate a drill press, manual mill, and manual lathe (Preferred)
- Experience in Foodservice manufacturing Industry (Preferred)
