AOC has an immediate need for a Formulator at the Valparaiso, Indiana plant.
Summary:
The Formulator will operate equipment to manufacture thinned and blended resin products. This position manufactures product based upon the requirements of the Quality System while ensuring that formulations are followed.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform chemical, physical and visual tests on resins and makes adjustments to product batches based on test results.
- Ensure that customer requirements are adhered to prior to the shipment of product and where necessary, communicates to various parties to ensure quality system requirements are met.
- Prepare tankers and drums and load finished products
- Deliver samples to the Quality Assurance Laboratory and enter data into the plant quality system.
- Analyze test data to determine ingredient adjustments, trends and possible problem areas for product and process quality assurance.
- Operator must advise appropriate personnel of test results which do not meet product or process requirements.
- Operate and perform preventive maintenance on assigned production, support, testing equipment and supplies.
- Inspect tankers prior to loading, loads and seals tankers.
