What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler/Insurance Authorization Coordinator position at Apex Interventional Pain and Spine?
Responsibilities:
- Answering phone and scheduling appointments.
- Verifies insurance coverage and obtains pre-certification and authorizations.
- checking in patients, collecting co-pays, scheduling patients, verification of insurance, making phone calls to confirm patient appointments.
- Answer patient questions and contacting insurance companies, third-party payers to resolve all outstanding balances.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical Facility experience (Preferred)
