CDL Driver - US - Apex, NC
The Blueprint (Role Profile)
Perform all tasks associated with the proper operation of the shipping / receiving areas.
The Build (Responsibilities)
- Move tractor trailers around / to and from docks on premises
- Maintain appropriate fuel levels (driving cab only)
- Fill orders using packing lists as a guide to pick various items
- Print packing lists and place packing lists on boxes
- Use an RF scanner to pick items within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Use the WMS to group orders that will ship using the same carrier
- Use forklift or pallet jack to move pallets to designated areas
- Operate a forklift to retrieve various items
- Stage packed items on skids
- Continuously lift and move up to 50-lb containers from pick slots to forklifts
- Determine the proper box size for orders and pack properly to ensure quality
- Perform basic mathematical calculations
- Follow safety regulations
- Perform other related duties, as required or directed
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED or equivalent
- Ability to consistently lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to consistently move in a full range of motion
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Current CDL Class A
- Current DOT Physical
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a standup forklift and / or pallet jack
- Previous distribution or warehouse experience
- Basic computer skills
