Our Production team is expanding and we are seeking an additional Manufacturing Engineer for our Racine location. The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, design, arrange, change, and optimize manufacturing processes in production, maintenance, engineering, and sales. This role will also assist in the Environmental Health & Safety day-to-day activities of the plant.

What You Will Do:
- Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
- Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and safety.
- Work closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Provide support to production colleagues, while ensuring all production equipment and tooling is operating correctly.
- Provide engineering support in production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Develop and execute process improvements and capital appropriations that support cost reductions, new product development, quality & safety improvements.
- Confer with vendors in determining tooling and equipment specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchases to support product requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Application, and Design engineering regarding new product tooling and design to ensure that we develop methods and equipment that support the customers’ requirements and manufacturability in production.
- Design and develop manufacturing processes and tooling/equipment for enhancements and product changes.
- Support Sales and Application Engineering by providing time studies and gathering equipment/tooling requirements for new programs and changes to existing programs.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of tooling drawings, equipment requirements, and associated plant layouts.
- Assist manager with Environmental, Health and Safety day-to-day activities.
- Help to coordinate safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; mechanical engineering preferred.
- At least three years of design for manufacturability experience.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing initiatives with an emphasis in continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain detail-oriented focus while balancing several simultaneous duties and initiatives.
- Must be able to independently manage workload and continuously promote a reduced stress environment.
- CNC programming or applications experience desired.
