Fleet Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and tech-savvy Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations of our tanker fleet. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Volvo diagnostic and troubleshooting software, a strong understanding of fleet inventory management, and a proven background in tanker operations. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of our fleet while supporting drivers and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor the performance, maintenance, and compliance of the company’s tanker fleet.

Utilize Volvo software platforms (e.g., Volvo Tech Tool, Remote Diagnostics) to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.

Maintain accurate records of fleet inventory, including vehicle assignments, service history, and compliance documentation.

Assist in the development and implementation of fleet policies and procedures.

Support driver onboarding and training related to vehicle operation and safety protocols.

Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure optimal fleet utilization.

Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and telematics data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Ensure all vehicles meet DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.

Qualifications:

3 years of fleet management experience, preferably in the tanker trucking industry.

Strong knowledge of Volvo diagnostic and troubleshooting software.

Experience with fleet inventory systems and maintenance tracking tools.

Solid understanding of DOT regulations and tanker-specific compliance requirements.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management platforms.

CDL (Class A) preferred but not required.
