What You'll Do:
The Second Shift Dock Lead will be responsible for assisting the second shift supervisor with all aspects of their operations, as well as performing the normal functions of their position.
Successful candidates will:
- Conduct a pre-shift dock sweep/audit of staged shipments
- Attend daily check in review with PM drivers
- Complete Pittsburgh HUB prep & load
- Order entry and shipment processing
- Act as PM driver team 1st point of contact
- PM driver admin task completion
- Dock sweep post PM departure
- Assist 2nd shift picking team as needed
- Provide leadership and direction to employees daily
- Act as a backup delivery driver when needed
- Be an excellent communicator to keep supervisor and employee informed
- Assist in training and evaluation of employee performance
- Monitor safety & procedures in the warehouse setting
- Responsible for workflow of assigned individuals in work section
Normal work schedule is Sunday through Thursday with a 2:30pm start time. Typical work week is 45-50 hour work week with Saturdays as needed. Standing and/or walking for the majority of work shift is required as well as the ability to safely lift, move and carry product.
Required for Success:
- Experience operating a stock picker, fork truck and scissor lift.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Active Driver’s License, Real ID required after 1/1/25
- Active DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one
- Ability to lead and train 10-15 employees
- Eclipse and WMS knowledge and RF proficiency
- Understanding of company and department/section policies & procedures
- Working knowledge of all job duties within/on the shift assigned
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-10 hours
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
