The Marketing Manager has a vital role in developing, creating and implementing creative go-to-market plans for our key vendor partners. Key internal partners to champion programs with include: Sales, Purchasing, and Executive team. This role will also engage heavily with manufacturers to gain feedback and evaluate future opportunities towards the creation and evolution of marketing strategies. The employee in this role will have defined profit expectations, vendor investment goals and satisfaction metrics. The key individual must be highly creative, maintain a Win-Win approach across many stakeholders, while creating enthusiastic customers.
DAILY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Best in class proposal-based channel marketing strategies to market to and through APR core customers
- Regularly meets with vendors/manufacturers to ensure APR meets MDF and Co-op objectives
- Identify incremental marketing opportunities to layer upon existing approved manufacturer plans
- Owns cross-departmental planning and project management which includes establishing milestones, project tracking, driving mutual performances and meeting deadlines
- Identify purchasing team objectives in specified quarters and develop marketing plans to meet these goals
- Able to assess market opportunities and determine best fit engagement campaigns
- Collaborates with the Sales team to develop vendor breadth/reach opportunities
- Achieves ongoing measurement goals (KPIs) based on manufacturer investment, Marketing activity utilization, manufacturer satisfaction and revenue growth
- Works closely with Accounting department on co-op management and reconciliation
- Shares ownership of marketing profit goal with marketing team
THE SUCCESSFUL TEAMMATE WILL:
- Have 3-5 years of marketing manager/business development experience
- Proactively utilize tools for data analysis and reporting
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate professional, courteous demeanor, positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in a constructive manner with others in a dynamic working environment
- Display outstanding organizational and analytical skills, experience in coordinating time-sensitive projects and proven ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail and accuracy
- Show ability to quickly understand processes, current trends, and technical vernacular associated with company’s products, technologies and brands
- Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, Salesforce CRM, Eclipse, Vendor Portals, or similar applications
