We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Cyber Security Architect to join our IT leadership team. In this critical role, you will design, lead, and maintain the organization’s enterprise-wide architecture across network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity domains. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist and a strategic thinker who can drive architectural decisions, align technology with business goals, and influence adoption across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable and secure enterprise architecture for network, virtualization, compute, storage, and security environments.
- Lead the planning and implementation of infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions across hybrid enterprise environments.
- Serve as the technical authority for architecture decisions; provide leadership in project planning, roadmaps, and IT standards development.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, assess their impact, and integrate them into long-term strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Act as a mentor and guide for engineering and IT staff, promoting architecture best practices and professional development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and security issues swiftly and effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field – or – 5 years of experience in a senior architectural capacity.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in:
- Designing and supporting local and wide-area networks.
- Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Storage area networking, cyber security technologies, system architecture.
- Strategic IT planning, budgeting, and requirements gathering.
- At least 5 years of experience in leading technology architecture initiatives.
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft, VMware, Palo Alto, Cisco, Citrix, and NetApp environments.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure concepts (compute, storage, networking, and security).
- Strong applied knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, and Project Management practices.
- Proven success in solving complex technical problems independently.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certifications such as:
- CISSP / CISSM (Information Systems Security)
- VMware, Cisco Route/Switch, Cisco Data Center
- ITIL Foundation and/or Project Management (PMP or equivalent)
- Experience with:
- IBM AS/400 / IBM Power Systems
- AIX Unix, RHEL, and multiple database environments
- SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Riverbed, Infoblox
- Containerization and modern virtualization technologies
