Summary:

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Project Manager (EPC) to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Project Manager (EPC) will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will have mastered hands-on engagement, supervisory leadership, and organizational skills. This candidate will preferably have experience in industries as an EPC Project Manager. The candidate must be able to travel domestically and internationally. The candidate should have experience in overseeing and managing project teams in an industrial setting.
Job Description:
- Manage diverse project teams in proposal preparation and subsequent project execution for EPC Water treatment projects: Process, engineering, procurement, logistics, estimating, project controls, safety, fabrication, construction management, and material management.
- Prepare budgetary and firm price estimates
- Maintain proposals budget and generate proposal schedule.
- Review risk mitigation with management during the proposal stage.
- Responsible for all aspects of Project Management for projects from early planning & development to final execution
- Responsible for schedule and budget throughout the life of the project
- Plan the EPC project activities and prepare the schedule for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
- Establish risk profile for project(s) and proactively manage mitigation plans
- Read, check, review contracts, and create a consolidated list of exceptions and clarifications.
- Check and comment on P&IDs and General Arrangements.
- Review global sourcing plans and RFQs.
- Review equipment selection and data sheets.
- Coordinate & consolidate document preparation: proposals to the client.
- Review and monitor the project in depth
- Change management with Clients as well as with vendors/sub-contractors.
- Support correspondence with customers.
- Attend customer meetings as needed.
- Ensure elevated levels of customer satisfaction.
- Closely involved in the RFQ process for Site sub-contractor selection
- Communications w/vendors and installation subcontractors to evaluate competitive quotes & negotiations.
- Internal communication with all departments, including global offices.
- Work autonomously and Serve as the project leader responsible for the safe and quality delivery of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up activities of the project
- International as well as domestic travel as required (could be extensive at times).
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Construction Management, Electrical, Chemical or related)
- Twenty (20) or more years in Project management handling projects of $25 million and above.
- Experience at the site as a Construction Manager is an added advantage.
- Experience in project-related industry with technical buying/selling and/or execution of projects.
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to write engineering specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or proposals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to use personal computer (MS Office Products) and internet at a prominent level of proficiency.
