Position Description
Provide quality, strengths based, youth-centered education around mental health and wellness and substance use disorder prevention; including life skilsl. Services are provided at Arbor Circle's Homeless Youth Shelter, The Bridge, in schools and other community settings. Position responsibilities include outreach, group facilitation, program development and evaluation. Positive outcomes are achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma informed care, hope and evidence-based research. An openness to embrace and explore bias, equity issues, successes and challenges from a place of understanding and curiosity is needed to succeed and develop in the position and organization.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Mental Health or related field
- Valid Drivers license and clean driving record required
- Knowledge and understanding of Kent County Resources
- Experience facilitating and leading youth groups
- Certified Prevention Specialist or willingness to work toward and achieve certification
