Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician. This position is responsible for the execution of Operational Excellence projects to drive improvement within our manufacturing processes.
Location: Belen, NM
What you’ll do:
- Support the CI team in the implementation of projects targeting improvement opportunities that result in high-value results fostering a commitment to process improvement across the facility
- Assist in the execution of Operational Excellence related activities such as: 5S, Standard Work, and Problem Solving
- Maintain work instructions, process flow charts, and plant layout maps
- Maintain operator and maintenance TPM checklists
- Support the plant by facilitating on-boarding Lean training
- Perform, manage and report on assignments/projects from CI team
- Effectively work cross-functionally with all departments
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Be a dynamic team player, self-starter and results-oriented employee
- Proficiency in MS Suite preferred
- Must be able to work independently or with a team
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple mediums (verbal, written, electronic)
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
Working Conditions:
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
- 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, M-F
- Overtime and Overtime on Saturdays, as needed
- Schedule is subject to change
