JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Service Engineer (TSE) II position involves working closely with ARGO customers and internal ARGO teams in a consulting and supportive technical role, on both an ongoing basis, as well as on a project delivery basis. A Technical Service Engineer II will provide technical recommendations to the customer, as well as onsite installation and version upgrade assistance.
EXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE
Job duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Deliver technical support during implementations for large financial institutions, while providing hardware and software recommendations to customers
- Participate in architecture presentations and discussions with customers
- Provide onsite software (both ARGO and 3rd party) installation and configuration assistance to customers, as well as to internal ARGO teams
- Provide onsite assistance during pilot and/or production rollout of ARGO applications
- Provide assistance to customers when performing ARGO version upgrades or other environmental changes (i.e. datacenter changes)
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide onsite and remote research assistance in support of problem resolution.
- Develop and manage technical and delivery documentation for both internal and external implementation projects.
- Install, configure, and implement new features of ARGO’s software
- Deliberate with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
- Demonstrate understanding of ARGO’s value chain CRP3 (Customer Relationships & Satisfaction, Revenue Expansion, People Management & Development, Process Improvement, and Product Innovation) through actions and accomplishments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is required for the position. An advance degree in a related field is preferred.
- Preferably 5 years’ work experience providing technical support and implementations for large financial Institutions.
- Relational database experience (SQL and/or Oracle)
- Construction of the database and configuration
- Comprehensive knowledge of SQL Statement Syntax
