As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of packaging equipment at customer sites across North America. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring strong technical ability and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of equipment
- Provide technical support remotely (help desk) during off-site weeks
- Deliver customer training on proper equipment use and maintenance
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
- Represent the company professionally during site visits and industry trade shows
- 3 years of technical service or field engineering experience
- Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to travel 80% of the time; valid driver’s license and passport required
- Comfortable working independently in high-pressure environments
- Familiarity with food manufacturing/packaging equipment a plus
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred, but not required
- Must reside in the Midwest (WI, IL, OH, PA, etc. ideal)
- Paid overtime and weekend premiums ($500/day for weekend work)
- Travel expenses paid
