Arlington Heights Animal Hospital is a well-established, AAHA accredited, 5-doctor veterinary clinic located in the heart of Fort Worth’s cultural district! Our award-winning team has been part of the Fort Worth community since 1980. We love what we do and pride ourselves in offering the highest level of care to our clients and their pets which include dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. We are currently seeking a friendly and compassionate FT Veterinary Client Care Specialist to join our work family.

Job Description:

At Arlington Heights Animal Hospital, the Client Care Specialist is instrumental in the overall success of our practice.

  • As a Veterinary Client Care Specialist, you will perform veterinary reception duties as described below.
  • Primary goal of this position is client care through establishing and maintaining excellent client experience for all consumers and their pets. This includes greeting clients and their pets, ensuring they are comfortable, and educating them on the hospital and doctor’s best recommendations for their pets.
  • Exemplify and uphold Arlington Heights Animal Hospital’s mission statement.
  • Ensure efficiency and compassionate/empathetic care for clients during in-person and telephone interactions.
  • Answering a multi-line phone system.
  • Reviewing patient charts to schedule appointments accordingly.
  • Marketing the practice to potential new clients by promoting hospital services.
  • Helping route and manage client flow of appointments to ensure the best client experience as well as maximum productivity for the clinic team.
  • Work within a team of fellow Client Care Specialist as well as under a direct supervisor.
  • Maintain and input medical records in our PM software, VIA.
  • Assist incoming clients by completing the required intake documentation, requesting previous medical history, entering all demographics and history in the computer.
  • Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, charging them out for open invoices utilizing VIA, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian's instructions, and scheduling future appointments.
  • Following proper opening and closing procedures
  • Conduct administrative functions & other responsibilities as assigned
  • Take vital signs of animals including weight, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  • Show excellent client communication and telephone skills as well as excellent written communication skills with proficient spelling.
  • Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment with awareness of overall picture at any given time.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Previous veterinary office experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Background check and drug screening required prior to employment
  • Must be able to work all shifts, including rotated weekends & possible holidays.
