Job Summary
The Armtec Defense Technologies PM has dual roles. He or she is the company’s primary face to both the customer and company leadership for each program assigned. The PM is responsible for managing the strategic program lifecycle from concept/definition through qualification, production and program closure.
PM Responsibilities:
- Work with Armtec and customer staff to identify and define specific products suited to Armtec operations and capabilities.
- Coordinate Armtec functional groups’ activities of to deliver a qualified product in a timely manner and within a carefully controlled budget/schedule;
- Prepare and manage capital expense requisitions to secure the necessary funding for facility and equipment maintenance and modernization;
- Ensure efficient and well-coordinated program activities and execution in order to provide a high-quality product, on time, and to cost;
- Develop detailed work breakdown structures associated with the activities needed for achieving the stated primary goal;
- Identify program risks and develop risk-mitigation strategies
- Develop a product launch, marketing and distribution campaign for new contracts
- Liaison with customers and partners to create an efficient program plan and statement of work meeting Armtec financial requirements.
- Utilize internal and external resources effectively to affect program execution.
- Provide mentoring to potential new program management staff and personnel.
- Provide routine, accurate reports to senior management as required regarding program status, costs, schedule, risks etc. – via written and/or verbal reports as necessary.
- Apply current and appropriate Project Management tools to ensure on-time development and delivery, report real-time technical and financial status, and coordinate program remedial actions as needed.
- Understand the business model in which each program operates and update the ROI potential as the program progresses.
- Develop and maintain excellent Customer relations, accurately assess competitive forces, and formulate timely and effective strategic approaches in conjunction with other Armtec SME’s.

Qualifications

- A science, engineering or business degree is essential.
- U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Alien Status is required.
