Position Title: Therapy Aide (Recreational) – PACE Program

Location: Orange, CA 92868

Compensation: $25.87 – $38.80 per hour (W2)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

CalOptima Health is currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Therapy Aide (Recreational) to support the delivery of therapeutic and recreational services within the PACE Day Health Center. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Activity Coordinator to engage frail and elderly participants in daily structured activities that enhance quality of life and promote wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support recreational and social programming aligned with participants' treatment plans
• Monitor participation and engagement, and report observations to the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with coordinating outings, special events, and daily therapeutic activities
• Ensure availability of supplies and maintain a safe environment during activities
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with elderly or frail populations within the past 3 years
• Experience working with individuals with dementia
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
• Experience in activity planning or event coordination
