Our client is a well known high-end modern art gallery headquartered in Greenwich, CT. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger, preparing financial reports, tax returns, audit preparations, and other accounting duties as assigned.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger, preparing financial reports, tax returns, audit preparations, and other accounting duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger
- Prepare account analysis and reconciliations
- Conduct monthly closing of financials
- Prepare daily cash report and bank reconciliations
- Prepare sales and tax returns
- Provide monthly sales ranking reports
- Monitor and report lease and debt commitment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- CPA a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with an accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics
