Job Summary
The Mechanical Assembler requires a wide range of skills to prepare bulk container handling equipment both mechanically and simple electrical assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use Arrowhead Conveyor, LLC. machine drawings, machine assembly drawings, controls schematics and relevant bills of materials to proficiently build according to drawings and problem solve where needed.
- Engage in the reduction and/or elimination of non-value-added work throughout the organization.
- Reduce and/or elimination of non-value-added work throughout the organization.
- Utilize hand tools proficiently in performing the following tasks: Structural assembly, Mechanical drive assembly, Fluid control assembly, Guard and cover assembly, Mechanical assembly, simple electrical assembly. Work must represent quality workmanship, neatness, with acceptable efficiencies.
- Complete quality assurance checks for the Arrowhead Conveyor, LLC. Blue Books.
- Provide accurate documentation skills that includes labor reporting, material issue/returns, material moves, and material scrap reports.
- Execute Arrowhead Conveyor, LLC inventory re-ordering policies that includes "Kanban".
- Prepare equipment for shipment including, but not limited to, machine teardown.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. Standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work. Occasional check of work while in progress. Work is reviewed upon completion.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Or one to three months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Work Schedule/Hours
1st Shift: 4:30am – 2:00pm, M-F
2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 2:00am, M-Th
