Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Substance Abuse Counselor at ARS Treatment Centers in New Castle, DE. The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for treatment planning, case management, relapse prevention, and addressing mental health issues in individuals affected by addiction.
Qualifications
- Treatment Planning, Case Management, and Relapse Prevention skills
- Experience in addressing Chemical Dependency and Mental Health issues
- Strong understanding of Harm Reduction strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Certification or licensure in Substance Abuse Counseling
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Associates degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field.
