As a Staff Tax Accountant, you’ll work alongside seasoned tax professionals to support tax preparation, planning, and compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role offers hands-on experience and mentorship with the opportunity to advance rapidly based on your contributions and initiative.
💼 Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Assist with year-end tax planning and projections.
- Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax files and client records.
- Support tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities.
- Collaborate with senior staff on special projects and consulting engagements.
✅ Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred (but not required).
- 3-5 years of tax accounting experience (internships included).
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
