For 24/25 School Year
The Teaching Assistant will assist in the daily program under the direction of the teacher.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up centers and preparing needed materials and supplies for students’ daily activities.
- Work individually or in small groups with students to review classroom instruction, listen to reading groups, and/or assist answering questions.
- Supervise outside playground activities.
- Supervise online learners.
- Help with general housekeeping tasks.
- Assist the teacher in any other appropriate way.
- Attend weekly meetings if applicable.
- Attend work a maximum of eight working days prior to the commencement of classes and two administrative days following the conclusion of the spring semester of the school year.
- Maintain student and family confidentiality both on and off the School campus.
- Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
Qualifications
The Teaching Assistant must have an Associates degree. Other qualifications include experience working with children, organized, capable, and able to multitask. Salary based on experience.
