Hospice nurses see patients where they live, so have a great deal of autonomy, but also work closely with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team. As a Hospice RN at Asante, you will:
- Support families at end of life
- Be organized with good communication skills and work well as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Be an innovative thinker
- Work autonomously throughout Jackson and Josephine Counties
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred
Experience
- RN experience in an acute care hospital, home health, and/or outpatient oncology setting required
- Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills required
- Hospice, Home Health, and/or private duty experience, preferred
- ACE's training experience beneficial
- Recent home health and/or long-term care experience beneficial
License/Certification
- RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
- Possession of a valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance may be required - reliable vehicle required
Preferred Certifications
- CHPN: Certified Hospice Palliative Nurse
- CMSRN: Certified Medical Surgical RN
- HNC: Holistic Nurse Certified
- WCC: Wound Care Certified
- COCN: Certified Ostomy Care Nurse
- MSN RN-BC: Medical Surgical Nurse RN Board Certified
