Our client is one of the largest Commercial Real Estate and Property Management companies in California developing its commercial portfolio in Northern California focused on converting and increasing the value of well-located office and industrial properties needs a highly organized and outgoing Construction Coordinator for a multi-tenant property with active facilities and space management.
Job Description – The Construction Coordinator will primarily focus on supporting the project management team with periodic reporting responsibilities. With excellent customer service skills, the Construction Coordinator will also work with tenants communicating project updates and scheduling. The successful Construction Coordinator will work with vendors, contractors/subcontractors and other building management team members to ensure procedures are followed throughout the building. Additional responsibilities for the Construction Coordinator include the following:
Responsibilities Include:
- Liaison with contractors and engineers on schedules, permits, inspections, work orders and providing administrative support to the project management team.
- Preparing and updating project and building files ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Managing and tracking all certificates of insurance ensuring that all coverage levels are in compliance with building standards.
- Coding and entering invoices into the accounting system, MRI, Timberline, Yardi.
- Composing and sending communications to tenants, project managers, contractors and subcontractors and engineers on building issues.
- Reporting on progress and status of projects.
Position Requirements
- 2 years of previous Construction Coordinator experience.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Procore.
- Professional, reliable, flexible and have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong customer service skills and ability to prioritize
- Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal communication forms.
- Proactive attitude and volunteers willingly to take on additional responsibilities and assist with other team members’ projects.
- Commercial real estate experience or a strong interest a real plus!
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or similar work experience
