About the Role:
Job Title: Java Software engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Golang and Java.
- Develop and deploy applications using AWS infrastructure.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs in a timely manner.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Golang and Java.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Understanding of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks is a plus.
Location: Philadelphia, PA/ Wilmington, DE/ Richmond, VA
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $110,000 – $120,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
