We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join a collaborative, high-performing real estate practice in Miami, FL. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside respected attorneys on complex commercial transactions in a market where experienced real estate professionals are in high demand.
The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling a wide range of commercial real estate transactions. The practice emphasizes teamwork, precision, and efficiency in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal in a law firm setting
• Strong title and survey experience is required
• Advanced technical skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple commercial transactions simultaneously
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with preparing and reviewing closing documents for commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions
• Support the preparation and review of loan documents, including UCC Financing Statements
• Coordinate commercial real estate closings by maintaining closing checklists, preparing and distributing signature packages, reviewing settlement statements, and coordinating with all transaction parties
• Order, review, and analyze title and survey documents, including title exceptions
• Prepare title and survey objection letters, memoranda, and escrow closing letters
• Order and manage commercial real estate due diligence materials, including zoning and governmental compliance letters, UCC and judgment searches, authority documents, certificates of good standing, and estoppel letters
• Review and abstract UCC, judgment, and lien search results
• Obtain and review zoning reports and assist with zoning analyses
• Conduct lease reviews and prepare detailed lease abstracts
• Manage filing and recording of commercial real estate documents
• Prepare closing binders and address post-closing matters
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and client service skills, demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy
• Ability to think creatively and implement best practices
• Core working hours are generally 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Physical attendance and punctuality are required
