Description
Asphalt Green is seeking dynamic and passionate Conditioning Instructors to lead group fitness classes, with a focus on strength training, circuit conditioning, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). We are specifically looking for weekday early morning, weekday evening, and Sunday evening coaches to lead our HIIT classes for our Upper East Side location (555 E 90th street).
Requirements:
- Experience teaching in a group setting using dumbbells
- Experience integrating conditioning circuits and resistance training in a group class setting.
- Continually offer feedback to class participants, always coach to the positive.
- Have a good movement toolbelt. Instructors should be able to spot movement flaws quickly and correct participants within 1-2 cues.
- Have experience (or be comfortable) being mic’d up.
- Understand that empathy for students brings success to the coach and to the class.
- Ability to lift and move class equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to run, jump, bend, balance, walk, and perform upper and lower body weight bearing movements.

Qualifications
- Prior experience leading group fitness classes, especially in a HIIT format.
- A solid foundation in strength training and conditioning with the ability to coach and correct form quickly.
- Current fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization (AAFA, ACE, NASM, etc.).
- Valid CPR certification.
