What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Counter Sales Associate position at Associated Scaffolding Company?
Job Purpose
Provide support to the Branch Manager in the area of inside operations, dispatch and retail sales.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Routinely provide courteous telephone and visitor reception as required.
- Assist with the inside sales function to include taking orders from customers, documenting these orders with the necessary paperwork, invoicing the customers, filing all the paperwork, and advising the Warehouse Supervisor of such orders.
- Investigate equipment returns for missing equipment and invoice the customer.
- Assist with all inventory functions within established policy and procedures.
- Advise the Branch Manager of anticipated additional equipment requirements on a continuous basis.
- Dispatch vehicles for timely pick-ups and deliveries
- Monitor GPS Alerts
- Continuously undertake training through the assistance of the Branch Manager to become proficient in inside sales and product knowledge to better assist customers.
- Undertake other duties or special tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Other Duties
- Maintain a stocked and clean showroom/office
- Maintain petty cash, credit card logs and daily deposits
- Reconcile & file paperwork daily
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong Customer Service skills. Prior experience in customer service a plus
- Competence with basic math and accounting skills
- Proficiency in use of computer programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Positive Attitude/Ability to work as a team
- Quick learner who can handle different functions.
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
- Excellent verbal communication
- Professional appearance
Working Conditions
- Employee will spend periods of time sitting at a desk working on a computer.
- Employee will spend periods of time counting and restocking items in showroom, warehouse, and yard.
