Position Summary:
This Radiologic Technologist position operates within a fast-paced, high-volume procedural environment focused on pain management and fluoroscopy. Under the supervision of a Radiologist, the technologist performs radiologic exams as ordered, ensuring safe and efficient diagnostic imaging for a broad patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality radiology exams per protocol in a timely and professional manner
- Apply AIDET principles when communicating with patients and families
- Set up and position patients and equipment for optimal imaging outcomes
- Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Monitor radiation dose and respond appropriately if thresholds are exceeded
- Maintain proper documentation including patient history, consent forms, and shielding measures
- Ensure equipment functionality, report technical issues, and maintain cleanliness of work area
- Collaborate with clinical and engineering staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Input and manage imaging records in the system for timely interpretation
- Take call as required

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience: Experience in pain management/fluoroscopy preferred
Certifications (Required):
- ARRT-R – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Radiography)
- MRT – Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas)
- BLS – Basic Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified)
