Traveler Registered Nurse – Telemetry (6 North Neurology)
Location: Athena Medtech
Department: 6 North Neurology
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (36 hours/week, 3 × 12-hour shifts)
Position Summary
Athena Medtech is seeking a dedicated Traveler Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to join our 6 North Neurology team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of clinical nursing experience and be skilled in monitoring neurological and cardiac patients, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and supporting patients and families throughout the care continuum.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans in accordance with clinical standards and physician directives.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions promptly to the healthcare team.
- Coordinate care across multiple disciplines to ensure seamless and effective treatment.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assess discharge needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and appropriate transitions of care.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse; telemetry and neurology experience preferred.
- Active RN license in applicable state.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
