Purpose: The Director, Transaction Solutions will be responsible for leading important corporate initiatives related to capital, reinsurance, and overall balance sheet optimization. This role will allow the individual to support the organizations’ ever-growing reinsurance, capital, and corporate initiatives, while also providing opportunities to interact directly with senior leadership and functions throughout Athene, including Actuarial, Finance, Investments, Legal, and Risk. The ideal candidate will have experience leading collaborative, cross functional projects, with knowledge of reinsurance being a plus. Candidates who have the drive and desire to learn new skill sets and expand their knowledge will thrive and have the ability to accelerate their careers at a fast-growing organization. This role will report to the AVP, Transaction Solutions within the Finance team. Accountabilities: Lead and support various corporate transaction initiatives related to capital, reinsurance, and balance sheet optimization Utilize skills learned from prior roles within Actuarial, Finance, Investments, or Risk to help communicate and provide thought leadership to successfully execute corporate initiatives on time Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify new opportunities and successfully execute existing corporate initiatives Understand complex topics and be able to communicate with multiple functional areas how these initiatives fit into the bigger organization goals Build and be able to present high-level presentations to senior leadership Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related fields Seven plus (7 ) years of insurance or financial industry experience required and experiences in reinsurance, pricing, risk or collaborative project roles a plus Highly motivated and ability to thrive in fast-paced, results oriented environment with high quality standards Strategic and analytical thinker with ability to focus on details and synthesize into actionable recommendations Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently Demonstrate ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to meet deadlines Ability to coordinate and effectively communicate project plans, working closely with functions throughout the organization Drive.
