We are seeking a Material Handler to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for moving materials from the production floor to the shipping area. A successful candidate will be eager to learn and be able to work independently.
Additional Responsibilities
- Operate forklift to receive product, stage pallets, move super sacks, and stock inventory
- Receive orders from the floor lead and through radios
- Work from sales, shipping or other orders and documents to locate and accumulate all specified materials to fill individual orders.
- Apply prescribed color or other coding and identification to materials.
- Enter quantity, mill order number and other data on mill order traveler for forwarding to Production Planning for bill of lading preparation.
- Detect and report defective materials and improper and unusual conditions to proper supervision
- Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations
